*Yoga Instructors: 5 Continuing Education Credits through Yoga Alliance
Meg Shaughnessy, E-RYT, YACEP, began teaching Yoga about 10 years or so ago. Over the years, she has found a constant friend in her Yoga practice and is extremely grateful for the Yoga Instructors who have guided her through her journey. She is most appreciative of the work of Kate Potter and Baron Baptiste.
As Meg's practice grew, she found herself becoming increasingly unsure and confused with conflicting alignment and practice theories being taught -- often, she found herself leaving Yoga class feeling unsettled and worn out. After reading the work of David Emerson and Jenn Turner she was able to make a connection between her feelings and her Yoga practice. She recently completed a 40 hour training with Emerson and Turner at Kripalu.
Meg believes Yoga is a personal practice which allows us to live compassionately, truthfully and sincerely. By being truly present in our Yoga practice we can learn to lead peaceful lives and bring our best self to our families, friendships and careers. By practicing the Reconnect Yoga way we learn to trust our instincts and choices. Meg can be contacted at 815 955-4802.
